Teen Classes: Ages 7-13

Teens should do parkour for several reasons:

  1. Physical Challenge: Teenagers often seek out activities that provide a physical challenge, and parkour definitely fits the bill. It requires strength, agility, flexibility, and endurance, providing a rigorous workout that can help teenagers stay fit and healthy.

  2. Outlet for Energy: Teenagers often have a surplus of energy, and parkour offers a productive way to channel that energy. It provides an outlet for physical activity that can help teenagers manage stress and improve their overall well-being.

  3. Adrenaline Rush: Parkour can be an adrenaline-pumping activity, especially when practicing more advanced moves or tackling challenging obstacles. For teenagers who crave excitement and thrills, parkour can provide a healthy dose of adrenaline while also teaching risk management skills.

  4. Self-Expression: Teenage years are a time of self-discovery and identity formation. Parkour offers a creative outlet for self-expression, allowing teenagers to develop their own unique style of movement and explore their physical capabilities in a way that feels authentic to them.

  5. Social Connection: Parkour is often practiced in a community setting, whether it's in a formal class or informal training sessions with friends. This social aspect can be particularly beneficial for teenagers, providing opportunities to connect with like-minded peers and form friendships based on a shared passion.

  6. Confidence Building: Mastering new parkour techniques and overcoming obstacles can be incredibly empowering for teenagers. As they push their limits and achieve new goals, they build confidence in themselves and their abilities, which can translate to other areas of their lives.

  7. Life Skills: Parkour teaches valuable life skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and resilience. These skills are essential for navigating the challenges of adolescence and preparing teenagers for the transition to adulthood.

Overall, parkour offers teenagers a unique combination of physical, mental, and social benefits that can contribute to their overall development and well-being.
